Or the new arrivals in the amphibian department: spiny-headed tree frogs, lemur frogs, Tonkin bug-eyed frogs, golden mantellas and hourglass tree frogs. The ring-tailed lemur has not been named because zookeepers have not determined its gender. For $5, visitors can offer lettuce leaves at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily, weather permitting, on the Giraffe Feeding Platform. Keepers will offer camping tips during "Good Camper/Bad Camper Theatre" presentations at 11 a.m. in the grizzly bear exhibit and 2 p.m. at the Andean bear exhibit. Visitors can learn what it's like to be a bear and test their knowledge in the Bear Maze, have their photo taken with the giant Smokey Bear inflatable and learn about bear behavior from Texas Forest Service bear experts. Zoos from Peoria to Berlin also have welcomed new babies this summer, including the first sea lion born at the Memphis Zoo and the first elephant born from artificial insemination in France.
